The multitude of players in the art market makes it complex to understand. While the market operates according to institutional criteria and rules, it is difficult today to know who is who and who does what.
This lecture aims to shed light on the market’s players and to clarify the roles and functions of each.
Come and discover an exhibition featuring exceptional artists and creators from the international scene in our new exhibition space, located in the heart of the iconic Confluence district. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing an experience that promises to be both memorable and warm.
Artistic creation exists within a broader ecosystem; beyond simply exhibiting fine artworks in our gallery, we offer a talk on the art market to the public—including art enthusiasts, first-time buyers looking to start a collection, amateurs, seasoned collectors, and CEOs.
We will cover topics such as the market hierarchy, auctions, how an artist’s market standing and value are established, and tax-optimization strategies.
We will conclude the session with refreshments.

Artistic performances are offered to the public, featuring a group painting activity themed around travel sketchbooks—led by artist Fabienne Amiel at Confluence—and on-site portrait sessions with artist Laura Vaillant.

Deciding whether or not to find interest in a work of art is a matter of personal judgment. That said, having the opportunity to learn about the artist’s history and creative process—and to grasp their sensibility and technique—provides the observer with the additional information needed to understand the artist’s career.
